Finding the right eyelash glue: In addition to the right eyelashes, the choice of glue is probably the most important decision when it comes to eyelash extensions. Since every stylist has a different style, it is particularly important to work with an eyelash glue that suits your own workflow. A good eyelash glue should not only last a long time, it should also affect the health of the client and stylist as little as possible.
Contents of eyelash glue: All of our glue is based on cyanocrylate and is therefore particularly long-lasting and hardens quickly. Once the glue has set, it keeps the artificial lashes on the natural lashes for 6-8 weeks.
Black vs. Clear: In short, black lash glue works particularly well with black and brown lashes, while colored lashes tend to use clear glue. As a result, the colorful artificial eyelashes retain their color and thus ensure a rich and even end result.
Curing and Polymerization: We distinguish between curing and polymerization. While the adhesive appears to have “hardened” after just 0.2 - 2 seconds, it still polymerizes up to 24 hours after the treatment. It is therefore important to pay special attention to the eyelashes shortly after the treatment.
The curing time varies from adhesive to adhesive. We recommend beginners to choose an adhesive with a longer working time - while advanced users and professionals can rely on faster-acting adhesives.
Preparation: Shake the eyelash glue well before using it. Hold the bottle of glue sideways if possible. To achieve an even better result, there are special shaking machines that help you to shake up the eyelash glue before use.
Storage: Eyelash glue should not be stored in extremely low temperatures nor in extremely high temperatures. It is advisable to store the adhesive in a cool and dark place for an optimal service life.
Removing: Removing eyelash glue requires not only skill and experience but also the right tools. A good remover is important in order to remove eyelash glue without leaving any residue. We distinguish between viscous cream removers and slightly less viscous gel removers. With both, it is of course particularly important to convey to your clients well that their eyes should definitely be closed during the removal.
Temperature and humidity: The effectiveness of eyelash glue is very dependent on external circumstances. So it is always important to ensure the best possible room temperature and humidity. Each glue has its own optimal conditions, but it can be roughly said that temperatures of approx. 20-23 degrees Celsius and a humidity of 40-60% allow the eyelash glue to work best.
